RemoteReality has received over $8M in development contracts and Small Business Innovation Research grants and from several military branches and research agencies. Our sponsors have included the Navy, Army, Marines and DARPA on projects such as:
MWIR system - The Navy required innovative ultra wide angle optics and software for the highest resolution MWIR (Mid-Wave Thermal Infrared) camera system available today. They turned to RemoteReality for this industry leading solution for night vision in maritime environments, in a unique space-constrained package.
Periscope System - Submariners require better situational awareness when operating in crowded littoral waters. RemoteReality has developed an innovative “quick look” periscope camera system that allows operators to see simultaneously in all 360-degrees, during both day and night operations.
Tele-Nav System – The Army needed a remote vision system to tele-navigate HMMWVs in hostile terrain. RemoteReality provided day and night vision systems, plus unique console software for remote driving.
Perimeter Monitoring – The Marines required a Remote Perimeter Monitoring System to create a force multiplier for their sentries monitoring the perimeters of critical facilities.
Wide Area Surveillance – The Navy required a mast-mounted video solution to monitor the full perimeter of a Navy ship while in port, perform video analysis and threat detection, and automatically slew a slaved pan-tile-zoom camera to analyze potential threats.
Tracking System – The Army required a tracking system that integrated wide area video imagery along with other sensors in a low power package.
LWIR Video Systems – DARPA required wide area optics to complement their leading edge uncooled LWIR (Long Wave Thermal Infrared) imagers for multiple wide area monitoring applications for night operations.
