Robert Anderson is the president of Omniken, a firm that specializes in advising leaders of technology companies on strategies to manage and grow their businesses.
Mr. Anderson, who is based in Groton, Mass., also sits on the Boards of closely held Lau Technologies, in Concord, Mass; family-owned Horn Packaging Corp., in Ayer, Mass; and publicly traded LeCroy Corp. (NASDAQ:LCRY), in Chestnut Ridge, N.Y.
He is a past director of the Technology Capital Network at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and served on the Executive Board of the MIT Enterprise Forum of Cambridge. He also is a past director for the National Association of Corporate Directors/New England, the Association for Corporate Growth and the American Electronics Association.
From 1988-1993, Mr. Anderson was president and CEO of Concord-based GenRad, Inc., an automatic test equipment company that was purchased by Boston-based Teradyne in 2001 for $260 million.
He received an S.B. in electrical engineering from MIT and an S.B. in industrial management from MIT Sloan School of Management, both in 1963.
